Following the results of the 2012 Mariflex Open, the first three players to qualify for the 2012 Zuiderduin Masters this December are the winners of the Men’s, Women’s and Boys Singles:

MARTIN ADAMS (Eng), DETA HEDMAN (Eng) and QUIN WESTER (Neth).

Martin Adams beat Stephen Bunting in an exciting Men’s final; Deta Hedman, the 2011 Zuiderduin Champion triumphed over Russian Irina Armstrong in the Women’s Finals and Quin Wester from Apeldoorn in The Netherlands beat Jeffrey de Zwaan in the Boys Final and will make his debut on the big stage in December.

The first Zuiderduin Masters Youth event is going international following consultation with the Dutch Darts Bond.

Six Dutch players will compete for the title – four to be selected by the Dutch Darts Bond based on their performance over the preceding year, and one qualified through the Champions League of Darts, and the sixth is the winner of the International Mariflex Open boys tournament.

In the latter case, the 2011 MariFlex International Open Youth champion was a Dutch player, but as the tournament is worldwide any future winner could be from another country.
Partly based on this, and the link to the Zuiderduin Masters, it will now be known as the Zuiderduin Masters Youth.

The first Youth Zuiderduin Masters will be played as part of the 2012 Zuiderduin Masters from December 7th to 9th. The venue is the Hotel Zuiderduin, the main sponsor of the event , at Egmond aan Zee.
